About Us

Kaunis Joki translates to beautiful river.  We live with our dogs beside a gorgeous Oregon river that runs from the mountains out to the sea.

Our Lapponian Herders are UKC and/or AKC registered and are tested for genetic diseases and for hip and elbow health.  We raise our puppies using Puppy Culture protocols in order to give them the very best start in life and the highest chances for a happy and successful life.  They are raised in our home, under foot, with plenty of love, attention, and intellectual stimulation.  We are recognized by gooddog.com as a Responsible Breeding Program with Excellent Health Testing Practices.
